Birthday Events and a Day in Fort Lauderdale

First let me start by wishing my amazing husband a Happy Birthday.

We wake and oh we are feeling the effects of the champagne and wine last night.

After getting ready we jump in the car and Craig shuttles us around Fort Lauderdale.

OMG it is so cold here. In fact the temperature here in Fort Lauderdale is the same as at home in Vancouver.  

Today is a day of errands.  When you come on board for 40 days it makes more sense to buy many of our toiletries here.

So off to Target for sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, detergent, and a few other items.

Bernie picks up some Tommy Bahamas shirts at the outlet store in Sawgrass. If you are a fan of Tommy Bahamas head out to the outlet store for some great deals on clearance items.

Then a quick trip to Total Wine for some champagne and wine.

Oh I am feeling rough from the booze last night so we stop for lunch.  After a nice meal I am finally feeling normal.

Back at the airbnb around 2:30 and we all agree we need a nap. We settle down for a bit and it is just what we needed.  Hopefully we are now use to the time change.

We get in an Uber to dinner at Rocos on Las Olas for Bernie's Birthday dinner.  

We are met there by friends Meghan (Toronto), Paula and Min (Sanoma) and are sailing with us tomorrow.  The meal is fabulous, and the service outstanding.  But the best is seeing good friends and spending time with them.

We are back at the apartment and we watch the latest episode of the Cruise Show and we can't believe we are getting on the Royal tomorrow.
