Sea Day And First Lecture

It was lovely to sleep in and to have a sea day.  After a few days in Dublin then a port stop in Belfast we are happy to have a rest day.

We reserved a spot for the Sunday brunch (but not every Sunday as there was not one the next Sunday).  It is held in the dining room and has a set menu.  No need to order as you get a little bit of everything.

It was fabulous and service again is top notch.  You never feel or see that the staff are run off their feet.  This ship obviously has the correct amount of crew to enable the service guests deserve.

My talk is at 2 pm, but just before me is another lecturer by the name of Dr Charles Paxton and he discusses all things weather.  Very interesting as today's talk is about the Ring of Fire.

My talk today is The Day The World Came To Gander Newfoundland.  Very well attended and guests came up afterwards to thank me.

The theater is lovely but there a lot of blind
spots due to the pillars.  Also the screen is way back, making it hard for so many on the sides to see.

For dinner we head to the dining room where we join a table and it is Bernie and 8 women!  It was a nice dinner. Great conversation and lots of laughs.

I have found the food on board to be very good - for us comparable to Princess food.  The menu is much smaller than Princess but for us there are still enough options.  Again dinner service is outstanding.

The Dutch Tenors are doing another show in the theater.  Forget about going to the early show.  Impossible to get a seat without getting there very early.  One issue is there are banquette seating in areas and people spread out claiming an area that can obviously sit twice as many.

We go to the late show at 9 pm, yup that is the late show.  First one is 730 and second is 900.  It is an excellent show.  I just wish we were onboard for their first show.

After the show we looked for something to do but there is nothing going on.  In fact the ship feels totally empty. So off to bed I guess.
