Carin our friend who we have know for a long time, when she was in the photography department, but now is in guest services walks by and we chat and catch up for a while. So nice to see her.
We decide to clean up and do a few fun activities tonight. We aren't hungry as we had that late lunch.
First is the Where In The World Am I Trivia with Fortuna Luck. It was not very difficult, but more importantly a lot of fun. We got 15 out of 20, respectable.
Then we stayed for the Musical Bingo. Make sure to try and do this event when on board. It is fun! And boy did Jayson do a fun job. I laughed so hard. He is a great asset to the team and would make an excellent Cruise Director.
Okay now we are hungry and it is 9 pm. Worldfresh Marketplace is open and man oh man were we ever gold we went there.
The food was phenomenal. Not only do they have standard fare they also had a small Brazilian Barbecue, an Asian area, the Thai chicken curry was amazing! So far the food on here has been top notch and we are relieved as we were a little concerned after our last cruise.
After a quick meal we are off to see the comedian Kevin Jordan who we saw a few nights ago and laughed our heads off. So we were looking forward to his second and totally different show. It was good, butbi thought the first show was better.
We aren't ready to call it a night yet. So we listen to Static play in the Atrium. Lots of people dancing. Static are the number one party band in the fleet and you can see why. The male main singer is different but he is still very good.
We have a seat in Crooners and enjoy a night cap. Bernie is excited as he can enjoy his favorite Scotch - Glenmorangie.
The bar staff here are wonderful and they remember us and are quick to ensure our needs are met.
We are really enjoying the drink package, something we don't usually get as we are on for such a long time normally and we just can't justify the cost when you are on for a month or more. But for 10 days it is great. We have never even once come close to going over our daily limit of alcoholic drinks. And we have not gotten drunk either. A buzz sure, but we are conscious to drink lots of water too. Let's hope we stay smart!
We have been trying to get into the casino but it has been so very smoky so we haven't gone. It is now 1140 pm and we go in and I do load my account and play a bit, but the smoke is so bad I give up after a few dollars spent. Hmm this might be more affordable trip if I can't gamble. I am going to ask if there will be a non smoking night.
