Drive to Seattle
Oh we are so excited, we have been counting the days until the departure day. And it is finally here.
We decided to leave around 10 am and after heading to Starbucks for our latte we are on our way. Very short wait at the borders, in fact after about 15 minutes we are in the United States and heading south, well south to Seattle.
One of our stops is at the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall - we love it here, all the necessary shops and a quick bite to eat and we are happy. Here is a link the mall http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=71
Traffic is light today and we make it to the hotel for around 3 pm. We booked the Hilton Seattle Airport thru Priceline for $50, now that is a deal; however when we checked in we are asked "do you want to park your car $20 more" so really the price is $70. I request a quiet room (as we need to get up very very early and always have a hard time sleeping the night prior. I specifically ask for a non adjoining room. We lug up our bags to the room only to see an adjoining door, back down to the desk, next room, lug the bags again, and yup another adjoining door. Called the front desk, "sorry we'll send up another room key" we wait and wait then give up and head to the front desk. Finally third room is a charm and it is quiet and no adjoining door.
The room is beautiful, the bed extremely comfortable and the hotel in all is very nice. Can recommend it to anyone. Also they have a shuttle to the airport too. The parking is secure, fresh fruit at the front desk, nice looking restaurant and lots of meeting spaces. We head out for a bite to eat at our favorite Mexican Restaurant then we are back at the hotel around 9 pm and are trying to settle in to get a good night's sleep.
