Dinner at Steamers

Tonight we are dining at Steamers.

Reservation is not until 7:30 pm so we decide to head up to the Elite lounge for a pre dinner drink.

We are scheduled to sail away at 7 pm from Roatan but they are looking for one couple.  They were late and were in the shopping area thinking they had lots of time.  Of course they were going by the land time not the ship time as had been noted. They were lucky as the Captain ended up delaying departure by 15 minutes for them.  We dropped the lines at 7:15 pm.

Carnival is still docked in front of us.  It was fun watching many staggering back on board from our vantage point at Skywalkers.

We head down to deck 15 for our dinner at Steamers with friends.

It is located at the port side of the Lido Deck.  Port side is Steamers, Starboard is Planks.

We are sat at a lovely table where we once again can look out at the stunning view.

Now for those of you who have tried the Crab Shack in the past, this is similar but not the same at all.

The Steamers menu you can find here from the Princess' site.

Cost is $12 per person with an upcharge of $10 for lobster and crab.

Here is the full pot with the crab added.

Bernie had the black and blue mussel pot.

The desserts are amazing.  Bernie had the strawberry shortcake and I had the keylime pie.

One thing that we thought was great was that you could order from the planks meal if you are not a seafood eater.  Which I did as I was not into having seafood tonight and they gave me the Planks menu and I ordered from it.

Planks blog can be found here.

I did find out that they will be tweaking the menu a bit in the future to accommodate non seafood eaters more.  Stay tuned.

Overall service was outstanding and it was a lovely atmosphere.

Try it out the next time you are on board.
