Day 12 - Saskatoon Bound and a Great Airbnb

I have to start with last night!

Ghostown Blues B&B hosted a concert last night.  Sean Pinchin was the artist.

At around 7 pm guests started to arrive and a casual audience was formed.  What a lovely venue.

Sean set up on the back porch and soon we were all enjoying his talents.

I took some short video of the event.

After the concert we sat around the fire for a bit and crawled into bed around 11 pm.

Unfortunately neither of us slept well.  May of been the wine, may of been the concert, may of been that we are moving on the next morning.  But we both woke up not feeling very rested.

We had breakfast at the lodge and we were on the road by 9 am.

Saskatoon is our end stop but we are not in any rush so we take a more scenic route.

Kindersley Saskatchewan.... why well probably because of a friend I went to school with who moved here in the early 80s.  Linda Maisoneuve - I am not sure what happened to her but it is cool to travel thru the town that she lived in.

Plus we got a shot of line crew painting street lines!  So something to cross off our scavenger list.

Then we saw an ambulance, actually two with with their sirens on.

We really get a kick out of the scenes we see on the road.

That is one WIDE load

Spotted this cool truck in Kindersley, and as he drove off he smiled back at us.

We pull into Saskatoon.  The weather is lovely - but the farmers really need rain.

Still a bit too early to check into the Air bnb so we go for lunch and walk around the mall a bit.  We are tired and know tonight is going to be a relaxing night.

A few days ago when I knew when we would be in Saskatoon I reserved our Airbnb.  Here is the link to our Airbnb .  And remember if you are at all thinking of booking an Airbnb in the future, click on this link and register and you will get a discount off your first visit.

Sandra our host messaged me the details for entry - which is great because it is a keyless entry system.

As soon as we enter it is perfect.  You can tell Sandra knows what she is doing.  The place is decorated tastefully and all our possible needs are here.  First thing to do is a load of laundry.  The place is a two bedroom so we are able to put our suitcases in one and sleep in the other.  But there is lots of room here.

Check out the wall art in the master bedroom.  It tickles our fancy because this is exactly what we are doing -- travelling across our country.

We both feel very comfortable here tonight and we agree a nice night in is what is in order.  A bit of normalcy.  We order in and watch The Good Fight and the finale of Survivor while enjoying a drink.
