After a good nap we shower and head out for a fun evening. But first we want to check out the roof top bar.
The views are stunning here at Salles Pere IV in the Plata district. We didn't stay for a drink tonight but we will be back.
We can easily walk to the Gothic Quarter in about 20 minutes. The area our hotel is in is more business and residential and the university is nearby.
As we strolled along the El Born area some Latin music drawed us in. They have caiprahinia and pisco sours! The owner is from Buenos Aires. We share our love for his country. The bar is called El Copetin.
After two rounds we stroll hand in hand all around the El Born area soaking up the atmosphere.
Another Argentinia find, Mafaldo a cherished cartoon character we first met on Buenos Aries.
We spot a nice spot for dinner. Called Redraurant Ferran. I ask about the ham they have on display. Boy oh boy some are really expensive.
Dinner is seafood paella and I started with an avocado salad. Sangria for me red wine for Bernie.
Bernie had fish soup and the sea bass.
We stroll some more and as we are walking Bernie sees a sign that says they have the best espresso martini. Well we have to see about that.
I have a spritz and Bernie has the espresso martini. Yes it was good. We are enjoying this time together and we are also enjoying watching the people. Oh we are definitely the oldest here. But who cares.
Of course we are feeling no pain, but note these drinks were consumed over about a five hour period. We grab a taxi back to the hotel around 10 pm. Again we are out as soon as we hit the pillow.
What a great first night here in Barcelona.
